I agree this is a quiet fan. But in my silent Geforce9300 system it hums, part of that is vibration of the case and most of is the dim noise of the fan itself.
I'm using a controller to lower the rpms. The 'hum' became lower.
The noise is not above day time ambient noise. It is noticeable when used in quiet conditions.
I have a Scythe 120mm on the same system which is quieter (silent).
