Despite middling reviews for this product on the Apple Store site, I bought one here at half the price, and it's worked perfectly. I use this to connect my 2007 MacBook Pro to a new Apple 24" Cinema Display, using both MacOS 10.6 and Microsoft Windows XP. The display comes on immediately when plugged in, and the signal is perfect. The Blue LED is always on and annoying (everybody needs to flash an LED in your face), and the display reports itself as some random external device.
