OCZ OCZ600MXSP ModXStream Pro 600 Watt Power Supply Decide Now

Ordered on 4th Feb with amazon free Super Saver Shipping, it left on the 6th feb from 'Seller facility', arrived 8th feb in Lexington KY and then finally to Miami on the 10th feb. I got it in Trinidad 2 days later via a skybox. The connectors are nice and snug on the supply itself and on the peripherals. The 4 pin molex connectors have two lips (or ears?) on the top and bottom that you press to help remove them from a device. Be sure you do not press them while putting them into the device as it would not be inserted all the way.

It worked right out of the box. The fan is silent, my cpu and gpu fans are more audible. The air coming out the back does not feel very warm and it does not feel like alot of air either. There is a 4 pin (p4) AND 8 pin (EPS) motherboard power connector made into the supply, I only use the 8 pin so it would have been nice to be able to take the 4 pin out but it just has to be tucked away. I bought this because I plan to do xfire in the future and this is xfire capable.

I scraped a tiny bit of paint off the back while lining up the holes to screw it into the case. The edges of the case are not sharp and I was not pressing the ps hard on the case, the paint is just very soft. It is barely noticeable as it is just a line on the edge of the opening on the back of the case and it is the back so it will not be seen anyway. I wish the red ModXStream-Pro sticker was on the opposite side so I could show it off instead of the voltage ratings sticker. As with all other ATX power supplies the holes only line up one way with the computer case so the fan is on the bottom drawing air from inside the case and pushing it out the back.

Ordered on 6th feb, left Memphis TN on 8th, reached Miami FL feb 10 with free standard shipping from amazon and then I got it in Trinidad 2 days later via a skybox. The motherboard was the only item ordered and it came in a slightly bigger box with brown paper padding on the outer edges, I uploaded a pic of it here.

The board worked as soon as I powered it on. I first used a usb keyboard but when the system woke up from sleep the left side of the board would be messed up and show multiple keys in an area being pressed when only one was pressed, eg when I typed 'a' it would show 'as' in Word. The same keyboard works perfectly on every other system I have and it corrects itself if i unplug and replug it back in even if it is the same port. It is not just the usb 2.0 or just the 3.0 ports, I get the problem for all ports on the back, I did not try the front ports on the case. I have switched to a ps/2 keyboard and it works perfectly now.

Another issue is the 1 terabyte hard drive (WD1001FALS) I use makes a funny noise when plugged into any one of the blue sata ports, it sounds like it is shutting down but midway it spins back up again, it may be a power setting somewhere, but it is random and the sound comes every 5 - 10 mins whether I am using the system lightly on the internet, or doing nothing just staring at the screen. While gaming or watching a movie I have the music on loudly so I'm not sure if it happens then too. If I use either of the white sata ports the sounds never comes which is why I suspect it is a setting somewhere. The system never freezes or stalls, the mouse always moves smoothly with the funny sound on.

About a week ago after I was looking around the bios and the system restarted the system did not boot. The power led kept blinking as it normally did during booting (it does not stay steady as with most other systems) but it did not beep and never booted. To get the system to boot I had to unplug the power cable and pop the battery on the board out then let it sit for a few mins. I then updated the bios to f5 from f1 revision using the windows utility, the same thing happened the first time I restarted after the bios update but not since. The drivers on the CD included were installed with no problem. The Easy Tune 6 app does give an error message when it starts up but runs properly I think.

The board has all the necessary settings to overclock the cpu and the memory. The i5 steps down and back up in speed as necessary. I do not have any usb 3.0 devices to check the speed on the ports. My XFX 5770 which uses 2 slots just meets the top of the level of the first pci slot, so I consider it blocked, I would not squeeze a pci card in to block air for the fan on the 5770.

I am very happy with this build and I see it lasting me well into the future. When games get even more demanding I will use xfire and a SSD and mayb overclock.

NOTE: - Make sure you get an ATX V2.2 or 2.3 power supply with an 8-pin EPS connector as this board requires it.
- I had to choose 'Profile 1' in the bios under XMP profile for the board to recognise the memory as 1600mhz, 9-9-9-24, the default was 1300 mhz.

Lowest Price Cooler Master R4 Series Silent 140mm LED Case Fan R4-L4S-10AB-GP (Blue)

-I have this fan in the bottom mount of my Cooler Master Storm Sniper Case. Works well to pull air up from under the case and blow it onto the Graphics card intake fan. I keep it at about 800 rpms, where it does a fine job at moveing enough air and staying more quiet than the other fans in my case.

-Fan is quiet, but should be at its max of 1000 RPMS.
-Whish it was a bit faster for its size to give it more flux, but seems to move a solid amount of air for the speed.
-Built well and lites up nice.
-Three pin connection is a near must have for avid case moders and this has that, making easy connection to fan controllers.
-Good price.
-Easy to install.

Low Price ATI Radeon X1300 128MB Low-Profile PCIE (DVI, TV-Out)

This X1300 came in a used box the seller found somewhare. It was not protected, nor included a manual or install CD disk. I had to make alteration in the mounting plate to use it on a standard size PC. It works just fine as a video grahics card. Looked like something the seller had laying around and wanted to sell. I would buy anything else from the person.Get more detail about ATI Radeon X1300 128MB Low-Profile PCIE (DVI, TV-Out).

Save Corsair XMS2 2 GB (2 X 1 GB 240-pin DDR2 800Mhz Dual Channel Memory Kit

I've tried cheap memory in the past and have always been disappointed. It's not worth the MB compatibility issues. Get Corsair and you know it will work.

I recently upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate and my 2GB memory wasn't enough. Having already had this exact same memory installed in two slots of the four on my Asus MB, this was a no-brainer. I bumped the total up to 4GB. Windows 7-64 sees and uses all 4GB, unlike 32-bit operating systems that have a limit of 3.

As expected, the Corsair addition made a huge difference in how well Windows ran. I have loads of free memory now even with Virtual PC running XP inside of Win 7.

The Corsair is fast, runs cool, and can be overclocked nicely without worries, if you're so inclined. It costs a bit more than the cheapo third-world-country-made stuff, but you know it will work and keep working. Corsair is all I use anymore. I highly recommend it.Get more detail about Corsair XMS2 2 GB (2 X 1 GB 240-pin DDR2 800Mhz Dual Channel Memory Kit.

Discount MI-008 Tower Black P4 Chassis with 250W Itx Psu+sata Power Supply

As the motherboard I used, a Zotac IONITX-A-U Atom N330 Dual Core 90-Watt PSU WiFi ITX Intel Motherboard came with its own external laptop style PSU, I ended up ditching the included power supply, which made this case comparatively roomy without the problems others have found with fitting in the optical drive. Into the case I was able to mount an optical drive, a 3.5" hard drive and a 2.5" SSD drive--although there was no bracket for the 2.5" drive there was plenty of room under the 3.5" internal bay, and if it bothered me I could place it there firmly with a few minutes and a metal cutting drill bit. I mounted a fan to the the CPU's heat sink and another to the back of the case, and I've been happy with both the temperature and the noise level.

It's an attractive case for a small home server, I have it sitting on a wire rack above my desk where I can plug in USB devices in the hidden front panel and have easy access to the power button. Certainly an improvement over the old full sized tower I've replaced. Construction is a nice blend of sheet metal and shiny plastic ornamentation.

Assembly was reasonably easy. Take care to fit the top piece snugly with the bottom or it will tend to splay awkwardly out. Do not drop the plastic slider which marries the external optical button to the eject button on your optical drive--if you do there will be trouble.

So all in all, a good case, I just wish it were easier to find nice mini-ITX cases without power supplies so I wouldn't have to shelve the PSU. By the way, I would not recommend the motherboard I used for a server--even though it makes a fine server--as you will end up paying for a number of home theater PC features you don't need. I just had a spare.Get more detail about MI-008 Tower Black P4 Chassis with 250W Itx Psu+sata Power Supply.

Cheapest Cooler Master RC-600-KKN1-GP Gladiator 600 Mid Tower ATX Case with 140mm Fan (Black)

PROS: Nice looking design! With places for two side fans and with the 140mm top fan and the option of adding a back fan, there is lots of cooling.

The case is sturdy with almost no sharp edges and lots of room to install your stuff. The mounts for both the hard drive and the DVD drive work well and provide solid retention.

With two side fans with mounting for fans up to 140mm, there is good airflow and cooling.

CONS: I wasn't thrilled with both the HD LED and ON LED being white. Tradition, in my opinion would have been best --- blue LED for the ON light and RED LED for the hard drive. Also, the viewing angle for these LEDs is narrow, i.e. you have to be looking at the front from in-front to see the light, off angle is cut off.

The front case fan is so filtered (filter is fine foam) that very little air passes thru. Removing the foam helps airflow, but still not much is getting thru. Maybe a higher RPM fan would help here. The one that comes with it is a 1200 RPM fan. The perferrated cover sheet in front of the front fan could also stand larger holes here.

The tool-less clips for retaining add-on cards are fragil. Mine for the video card broke easily, but you can install a screw in that situation, so all ends well. To be honest, I was pressing hard on it to try and make it latch, but not more pressure than I've used on other computer cases with this type of fixture. Examining the plastic part showed it to be weak, a poor design.

I've concentrated on what I felt were weaknesses, but I really do like the case and would buy it again. It was well and acqurately made, good paint job, nice front bezel, etc. The layout for the internal parts is good, easy to work with and one feature that I really appreciated was the cut-out behind the processor for installing the CPU cooler where a back plate is used for support. Other cases make you remove the MoBo if you are doing something that requires access to the bottom of the board.

My conclusion is I like the case, it's not perfect, but there is no such thing as a perfect case!

Purchase Kingston ValueRAM 1GB 800MHz DDR2 Desktop Memory (KVR800D2/1GR)

I've only bought Kingston Memory since I started building computers around five years ago. This is certainly not the fastest memory available, but I find that the latencies don't matter nearly so much as people think. I use my computer mostly for games and software development and it seems like the quantity of RAM matters more than how small the latency is. I always buy Kingston because I've found their stuff reliable, and when it does break (because everything does) their support is amazing. I've RMA'd 4 gigs of similar RAM with no hassle or issue.Get more detail about Kingston ValueRAM 1GB 800MHz DDR2 Desktop Memory (KVR800D2/1GR).

Order ATI Radeon HD 4870 Graphics Upgrade Kit - Graphics adapter - Radeon HD 4870 - PCI Express 2.0 - 512 MB GDDR5 - DVI, DisplayPort

My original video card on my MacPro recently died, causing me to look for a replacement, not so much an upgrade. Of course the choices are fairly slim for us Mac folks, but this card absolutely does the trick. My main concern was any noise it would produce, as I am in music and excess fan noise is simply not tolerated. I'm happy to report this card is dead silent. The feature that is most important to me. I'm very happy with the card, so much so that I'm writing my first review on Amazon in support of it. If you've got a video card that's on it's last leg, this by fair a great replacement.Get more detail about ATI Radeon HD 4870 Graphics Upgrade Kit - Graphics adapter - Radeon HD 4870 - PCI Express 2.0 - 512 MB GDDR5 - DVI, DisplayPort.

Shop For Noctua NF-P12 120 mm Nine Blade SSO Bearing Fan with VCN - Retail

The fan comes with some rather nice features, including converter cables, the cable itself is much longer than your usual fan cable meaning fan controllers with the headers on the controller itself should reach from the exhaust.

The fan's magic "quiet" everyone talks about is indeed the quietest fan I've ever had, however I wish it was actually capable of pumping the air a little louder, I can hear the HDD over everything quite clearly with only the soft whoosh of the fan operating at capacity via SpeedFan.

The cable is covered, but the header is not, I did not use the included rubber screws, however they appear troublesome to actually get into the system without some dainty work, they don't exactly exhibit any idea of sturdiness.

I'll say this again however, if you like a nice strong "whoosh" sound to your fans, don't look here, these are far too quiet for that, and astonishingly at their low RPM and noise level they're cooling my AVC Hercules radiator block at lower temperatures than the included AVC fan!

As a system builder I recommend this, my "aside" taken into account.Get more detail about Noctua NF-P12 120 mm Nine Blade SSO Bearing Fan with VCN - Retail.

Intel Core 2 Quad Processor 2.66 GHz 1333MHz 4 MB LGA775 CPU BX80580Q8400 Top Quality

This is a fantastic processor. Using an Asus P5Q Pro Turbo, I have the Q8400 at a stable 3.6Ghz. I've pushed it up to 4.0Ghz, got windows to open, went online, messed around for about 30 minutes without any problems. But it shut down after about 20 minutes of a Prime95 stress test. I'm willing to bet that if I spent more time messing around with the voltage, I couldv'e easily attained a stable 4.0Ghz overclock. But as it sits right now, I've been at 3.6Ghz since December '09 without any problems. After a 12 hour, 100% load stress test, the temps maxed out at 58 Degrees. I'm using a Xigmatek Dark Knight CPU cooler (Air). So if you're running a stock cooler, you might have problems with the temp if you OC to 3.6Ghz. But even at the stock speed, this processor can easily handle just about anything you throw at it. All in all, its a great CPU. Great for multitasking, gaming, heavy computing or basic computing. If you think the 2.6Ghz is kind of weak.....its not. You'd be surprised at how well this does at stock speed. And if you do OC, you'll probably be very happy with the results.Get more detail about Intel Core 2 Quad Processor 2.66 GHz 1333MHz 4 MB LGA775 CPU BX80580Q8400.

Antec Truepower 23754 TP-750 BLUE LED 750-Watt PSU NVIDIA SLI Certified 80 Plus Bronze Advanced Hybrid Cable Management Power Supply Best Quality

When my old (about 4 years old) power supply failed, I pulled it out and discovered that it was an Antec TruePower II 550W power supply. Now, there are two things about power supplies, one, they rarely fail, and two, when they fail it's probably because they were overloaded. I knew that Antec had a good reputation for power supplies (along with Corsair, PC Power and Cooling, and some others), so I included it in my search for a replacement.

One thing I found out was that Antec has by far the best website among power supply companies. Good or bad, I knew exactly what I was getting, including how many cables the unit had, of what type, etc. Without this information, it's very difficult to buy a power supply.

The Antec power supply is somewhat "modular" in that it has a few cables (four) which can be plugged in to the power supply or left uninstalled, as needed. I installed only one of these cables, and that one only to power the cooling system. Thus, by far the majority of cables are permanently attached to the power supply, making it less modular than one might believe. Some information suggests that modularity (in the form of plug-in cables) is not a good idea anyway, because of the added electrical resistance, but it does keep your installation somewhat cleaner.

I should mention that all the wires are grouped into connector groups and bound together with mesh cable protectors, a system I found much easier to deal with than tie-wrapped wires. I used only a couple of large removable wraps to keep the cables in place: the manufacturer's cable protectors did everything else.

It's difficult to be satisfied or not with a power supply until several years have passed. I am satisfied for the present, but if this unit fails in less than five years, I will probably try another make.Get more detail about Antec Truepower 23754 TP-750 BLUE LED 750-Watt PSU NVIDIA SLI Certified 80 Plus Bronze Advanced Hybrid Cable Management Power Supply.

Hauppauge 1199 WinTV HVR-1600 Internal PCI Dual TV Tuner/Video Recorder with IR Receiver and Blaster Decide Now

So far, so good. Have Windows 7 and compatible with that once you download the drivers for it. Been using this for about a month. Initially, used the Win TV program that came with it. Worked fine. Nothing especially great. Only annoying thing was that you would have to rename all of the channels. Then decided to try Win 7 Media Center. Like the look of it a lot better. Has the channels in the right order, and can cater things a lot. But can't see channels I can get HDTV over the air using Win Media Center. I truly haven't had time to play around with it to see if I just have to do something else. Remote works with either program. Altogether, seems like a good product. Had an earlier Hauppauge Tuner until now- only reason I got this one is the other was not supported under Win 7. That one I have been using for 5 years. Hoping this one lasts a good long time as well.Get more detail about Hauppauge 1199 WinTV HVR-1600 Internal PCI Dual TV Tuner/Video Recorder with IR Receiver and Blaster.

Where To Buy Intel DG45ID Media Series G45 micro-ATX Intel Graphics HDMI+DVI 1333MHz LGA775 Desktop Motherboard

I bought this motherboard, a Pentium E6500 processor, 4GB of Corsair DDR2 800Mhz memory and a Lite-On Blu-Ray drive with the intention of saving some bucks and using the built sound and video for a Windows 7 HTPC. Once I had all the current drivers loaded, it worked as advertised: DVDs and Blu-ray disks played back without a hitch; DTS and Dolby Digital content went out over the HDMI 1.3 connection with no problems, and the built-in graphics were adequate for standard computing tasks.

And that's the problem with this motherboard: it's integrated graphics are up to the task of displaying 1080p video, but only adequate for most computer applications, and almost useless for even light gaming. In addition, the onboard sound does not support bitstreaming, which is required to support the Dolby TrueHD and DTS-MA audio tracks used on Blu-ray discs. Both of these problems were easily resolved by adding an ATI Raedon HD5570 card to my system, which increased my Windows 7 graphics score from 4.3 to 6.8 and added support for the missing audio formats. Unfortunately, it increased the cost of my "budget HTPC" build by $85 as well.

With this in mind, if you're looking to build a HTPC on a budget, and can live with two less memory expansion slots, I'd recommend using the E6500 processor and the HD5570 with an Intel G41-based motherboard such as the Foxconn G41MXE or the Biostar G41M7. Either combination will save you about $50 and give you similar results to what I have, which has proven more than adequate. Invest the money you saved in a really cool HTPC case like the the Silverstone GD04, or just pocket the spare change... either way you come out ahead.Get more detail about Intel DG45ID Media Series G45 micro-ATX Intel Graphics HDMI+DVI 1333MHz LGA775 Desktop Motherboard.

SiliconDust HDHomeRun HDHR-T1-US Single Networked High Definition Digital Television (Windows7 Certified / Compatible)

Yes, with 2 tuners, which means 2 PC's can watch TV, and the software automates that feature. Especially nice on Windows 7 Media Center. A HDTV antenna is required without cable. I won't say recommended, it really needs this if you don't have a cable. I also made systems with USB HDTV, Hauppaugge and Dvico, and this beats those two in picture alone, once again, not to mention this attaches to the router or switch advantage. The prices were all equal just about.Get more detail about SiliconDust HDHomeRun HDHR-T1-US Single Networked High Definition Digital Television (Windows7 Certified / Compatible).

Intel Core 2 Quad Processor 2.66 GHz 1333 MHz 6 MB LGA775 EM64T CPU Q9400BOX Get it now!

I had a dual core in my PC and had some speed problems when rendering video and large images. I picked this CPU because it's designed for video and graphics work, and it delivers. Faster FSB, bigger cache and quad CPU's. Easy to install, and it includes a heat sink (with fan.) The heat sink has thermo-grease already applied. Great deal for a nice CPU.Get more detail about Intel Core 2 Quad Processor 2.66 GHz 1333 MHz 6 MB LGA775 EM64T CPU Q9400BOX.

EVGA nVidia GeForce 9800GT 1 GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI PCI-Express Video Card 01G-P3-N988-TR Buy Now

Well, it's a nice graphics card and, computorially speaking, it works very well.
However, the heat sink's fan is very loud and annoying.
1GB of memory is perfect for today's games, can't say anything about next week's though. :P
SLI supported, but I didn't take advantage of it. (My mobo doesn't support it.)
Has digital 3D capabilities, but you'll need extra equipment. Supports traditional (ie. red/blue) 3D as well.
Overall a good card, just a lousy fan.
If you want to spend a few extra $, try to find a 9800GT (or GTX) with a quieter heat sink.Get more detail about EVGA nVidia GeForce 9800GT 1 GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI PCI-Express Video Card 01G-P3-N988-TR.

Digital Atsc Tv Box VGA Digital HDtv Tuner Receiver Order Now

This product is roughly the size of a book and has a two piece plastic case that comes apart via four screws. inside is a circuit board with the cable jacks soldered directly to the circuit board, which made me uneasy about the durability of the product over time when plugging and unplugging cables repeatedly. the antenna jack was too short so they added a half inch extension piece so that the jack will extend outside of the case. Unfortunately the extension piece will come off the circuit board when you unscrew your antenna cable, so you will have to open the case to reattach it. Maybe some lock-tite would fix that issue?

The unit does pick up over the air digital television and outputs in high definition. However, I was disappointed that there is no program guide or ability the edit the channel list. It will scan for all the available channels, but many of them I did not wish to watch (standard picture and spanish broadcast) and I could not remove those channels from the list. Also, the audio portion is output via standard left and right audio patch cables. It would have been nice to have a fiber optic digital out because many OTA broadcasts are in surround sound.

My HDTV is an early model without a built-in tuner or HDMI port. I use component cables (RGB) for picture and fiber optic for sound connected to my home theater. I thought this product would be the answer so that I can watch OTA broadcasts. The price is very inexpensive. I also tried using a panasonic DVD recorder with a built-in digital tuner, which had the advantage of digital audio out but still no program guide or ability to buffer channels. In the end I purchased (and love) the TIVO Premier which has TWO built-in tuners and connects to the internet for so much more viewing options (Amazon video, Netflix, Utube, Music, etc.).Get more detail about Digital Atsc Tv Box VGA Digital HDtv Tuner Receiver.

Lowest Price Seagate Barracuda 1 TB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s 32 MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Desktop Hard Drive ST310005N1A1AS-RK-Retail Kit

I bought one from Frys in Feb 2009 and thought it was such a good deal that I went back the next day and bought another. The first drive started acting up after a couple months use and then died shortly thereafter. So I installed the second drive (about a year ago). Recently it started crashing and finally died. I will probably send them in on warranty, but I'm kind of wondering if it's worth the trouble.Get more detail about Seagate Barracuda 1 TB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s 32 MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Desktop Hard Drive ST310005N1A1AS-RK-Retail Kit.

Low Price Crucial Technology 103486 1GB 400Mhz PC3200 DDR RAM - CT12864Z40B

There are reviews that contain the technical information relating to this product, so all I can say for it is that it was an easy install. There were no error messages that appeared during start-up and the computer does seem to work a bit easier. I jumped from 768M to 1.5G. To do all this for the price I paid, can not be beat. It is RAM, so there is not much more I can say about it that others have not already said. Discount PNY OPTIMA 1GB DDR2 667 MHz PC2-5300 Desktop DIMM Memory Module MD1024SD2-667

I bought two pairs of the PNY Optima's, one for my Dell E510 and the other for my Dell E521.

When I opened the Dell E510 (Intel Processor), I realized the "Channel A" memory slots (DIMM_1 & DIMM_2) were not next to each other but were physically separated by a "Channel B" memory slot (DIMM_3). If it weren't for the white securing clips and previous matched pair of 512MB memory I might not have known what was the "Channel A" memory slots. So I moved the preexisting matched pair of 512MB (PC2-4300 533MHz) memory from the "Channel A" slots to the "Channel B" slots and installed the matched pair of 1GB (PC2-5300 667MHz) PNY's into the "Channel A" slots. Once I started the computer, I instantly wanted to make sure the computer recognized the memory and went into the BIOS. I did this since I moved the preexisting memory AND I installed new memory with a higher clock speed capability (667MHz versus 533MHz). I had to trust that the PNY would work, but I had to verify the motherboard would work with them also. Thankfully the motherboard recognized all the memory and did not show any conflicts. And I resumed the boot in to Windows and no issues there either; it went straight to the Windows login screen.

When I opened the Dell E521 (AMD Processor), I saw that the "Channel A" memory slots were actually next to each other as I expected with the previous matched pair of 512MB (PC2-5300 667MHz) memory. As before, I moved the preexisting matched pair of 512MB memory from "Channel A" to "Channel B" and installed the PNY's into "Channel A." Again, I instantly went into the BIOS to make sure the computer recognized the memory. The computer did recognize the memory and so I resumed the boot in to Windows. However, this time on the Dell E521 it didn't get to the Windows login screen. And after about 30-minutes of moving the memory around I figured I needed to see if I could even get Windows to recognize the memory. So I put the memory in how I wanted it, PNY 1GB's into "Channel A" and preexisting 512MB's into "Channel B" and booted into the Windows Safe Mode by pressing "F8" multiple times after the BIOS screen. Low and behold, Windows gave me a "New Hardware Found" dialog box and indicated it was memory. Therefore, I rebooted to get out of the "Safe Mode" and Windows went straight to the Windows login screen.

So now both PC's are working wonderfully with a total of 3GB of memory and both are using the memory at different speeds (533MHz versus 667MHz) without issues.

Note: I moved the memory because the computer tries to utilize the "Channel A" memory first and having a larger amount of memory there means my computers would run "better" even though all the manufacturer instructions explicitly told me not to do it. In addition, what happened on the Dell E521 could have been narrowed down to just the addition of memory as a single change versus multiple changes like I made...maybe they knew what they were talking about. ;-)Get more detail about PNY OPTIMA 1GB DDR2 667 MHz PC2-5300 Desktop DIMM Memory Module MD1024SD2-667.
