I wanted to buy an x58 motherboard and first purchased a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R LGA but found that it had memory compatibility issues. I returned it and purchased the EVGA board and have found it to be everything that I had hoped for. I installed an i7 950 and a 6GB kit of OCZ3X1600R2LV6GK memory, loaded Win7 Ult.. It has worked flawlessly so far and the windows performance evaluation ranks cpu perf. @ 7.5 and memory @ 7.8 (not overclocked).
