Just installed these in my Gateway SX2800-1 (it came with 4GB and I wanted to max it out to 8 GB). It works fine so far. However, when I first installed them my machine wouldn't boot and I thought this new memory was defective. But I tried again (made sure I had inserted them fully into the socket, etc.) and then it worked fine. So based on my experience, if it doesn't work at first, try a few more times before giving up on them as defective.
